CFSB Day 132
Finally got back on track with my private training sessions with coach Fox. My foot was still slightly effed from that damn half marathon, so we avoided any jumping or running. Started with some mobility work to prep for a whole mess of muscle ups.
Warmup, 3 rounds NFT:
- 10 Wall Ball (20lb)
- 10 KB Swings (1.5 pood)
WOD:
30 Muscle-ups for time. Boom. The strategy was 2 reps every 30 sec, which worked fine for the first 18 reps. It felt easy! Then I failed on rep 20, but still got a couple more rounds of doubles after that. Switched to singles at about rep 23. I hit my 27th rep, without any more failing at about 8:30. Then I got on the fail train. Hard. My kip just fell apart and I couldn’t get past the transition. I had about 7 fails mixed in with a couple of good reps. Finished my last rep at 14:44. Fucking infuriating. Finished with some shoulder and bicep mobility while I fumed.
I need to do this again and finish in under 10 min. Gonna add some MUs to my warmup so I just get some more practice on the movement.
