Today’s original plan was to do another playground workout at St. Mary’s, but it was locked up so I headed to good old 5th Ave Gym. Figured I’d go light today and work on form since I’m in the middle of a back-off week. Since the squat weight was light, I tried to focus on proper form and really bouncing out of the hole. Not a good idea. I bounced out of the hole so fast on my second set that I tweaked something in my lower back. It doesn’t feel serious, but I cut the squats short. And I won’t be bouncing much in the future. Gave the Roman Chair a go for a larf - it was surprisingly tough. Since I was limited with what I could do (didn’t want to aggravate the back) I went for a max-rep circuit of pullups and dips. Came centimeters away getting 31 on my first set of pullups, which would have been a PR, but I just couldn’t eek it out.
