Swim Intervals

At the Chelsea Rec Center on a blissfully uncrowded Friday summer morning. I had an entire lane to myself for part of the time today!

  • 300m warm up
  • 200m kick (100 front, 50 left, 50 right)
  • Intervals - repeat 10x
    • 25 freestyle sprint
    • 25 breaststroke
  • 250m cool down

Total time: 30 minutes. Total distance: 1250m.

Not everything is blissful about summer mornings - I haven’t been able to cool down since my swim. I took a long shower, but it didn’t take and as soon as I stepped outside I started dripping sweat again. I was a 6 on the sweat index by the time I got to work. Blech.
