CFSB Day 180

Jogged to the box for the Saturday noon class and did some DROMs to get loose for another crack at seven minutes of heaven.

Crossfit Open Workout 12.1: complete as many burpees as possible in 7 minutes.

Score: 102. Fucking hell. Tried a more complicated strategy of 20 OTM for the first 2 minutes, then 16 the rest of the way. Didn’t work out. I don’t think I would’ve even hit 100 without everyone screaming at me. Some dude paced it out at 16/min and ended up with 118. I think this was much smarter and better paced. I can’t believe I did this one again for 1 measly point. I really thought I could get about 115.

What I learned from this is that the simplest strategy is usually the best. My plans were too complicated and once I was in the fog of war mid-WOD, I couldn’t even remember where I was supposed to be anyway. Probably not worth it to do this one again for the third day in a row.
