CFSB Day 13
I was the only one in the class today doing tomorrow’s squat exposure so I did some hip and shoulder warmups on my own. The programmed load was 3 x 3 of 70% of the 1RM from the start of the cycle. Warmed up with a few lighter sets, as usual.
Squats
- 3 x 3 x 240lb
Didn’t really hit my stride until the last set, but that one felt solid as a rock. Maybe I didn’t warm up enough. Also jumped in on the muscle up transition drills that the rest of the class was doing in prep for the workout I did yesterday. The conditioning WOD that I did was a pared down version of FGB:
- Row x 60 sec (23 cal, 21 cal, 22 cal)
- Box Jumps x 60 sec (26, 21, 20)
- Wall Ball x 60 sec (26, 20, 21)
Repeat 3x, resting 60 sec between rounds.
My rowing has certainly improved (compared to 15 cal/min avg in my last FGB), my box jumps improved a little bit, but I still feel like I could’ve pushed a lot harder on them and the wall balls. Somehow I got the goal of 20 reps each set into my mind and I didn’t really push beyond that like I should have. I need to up my intensity and stop being such a fucking chump.
