CFSB Day 232

6am class with the DO. After a tabata double under session (best round was 38, worst was 28) to warmup, we spent some time opening the shoulders with the PVC and doing the wall stretch for the hamstrings. Then lots of barbell drills for clean and jerk before spending 15 min to work up to a heavy single.

Hang Power Clean & Split Jerk:

  • 3 x 135lb
  • 2 x 155lb
  • 1 x 175lb
  • 1 x 195lb
  • 1 x 205lb *FAIL*
  • 1 x 205lb *FAIL*

I have such a hard time generating the hip extension from the hang position. My hang clean is so much weaker than the full thing! Jerks felt really good today - I was driving the bar up with my hips and getting down under it. I just couldn’t clean up the last two sets. 

NFT WOD:

  • 3 DB Split Snatches (50lb, 60lb)
  • 3 DB Windmills (50lb, 60lb)
  • 6 DB Chinese Rows (50lb, 60lb)

Repeat 3x 2x on each side.

Everything felt good, but I felt something pop inside my left hip during the windmills on my last set (65lb) so I called it a day. My whole left hamstring still feels really weird. I hope it’s not serious.
