Sweatsy Make-up
I had to bail on the Sweatsy crew today, but I wanted to make up the miserable workout I cooked up for them. The closest decent pullup bar is at 9th St & Prospect Park, so I ran 1 mile there to warm up (uphill all the way) in 7:24, then:
- 5 L-Pullups
- 5 Pushups
- 10 CTB Pullups
- 10 Pushups
- 15 Pullups
- 15 Pushups
AMRAP 10 min
Score: 2 rounds + 6 pullups. I broke the pullups up into sets of 5 to try to keep from burning out. Pushups were all done with my hands on a bench since the ground was basically mulch. I was mad at myself for not finishing 3 rounds in time, so I finished out the last round. Sometimes I don’t go full throttle when I know it won’t get me to the end of the workout any faster. It probably would have helped to do this with my mates instead of by myself in the dark.
Then I cooled down for a few minutes and ran 1 mile back home (downhill) in 6:42.
