CFSB Day 250
Another Friday, another 6am with coach Nick. Still not feeling in top form from last friday’s mishap with my neck, but I wanted to get my squarts in. Warmed up with 3 min of Tabata KB swings (16kg) followed by 3 min of Tabata situps. Not super-intense, but got the blood pumpin. Then we regrouped and did some pre-squat hip openers.
Squats:
- 1 x 315lb
- 1 x 335lb
- 1 x 355lb
- 1 x 365lb (PR)
- 1 x 375lb *FAIL*
Quite chuffed to PR my squat on a day that I didn’t feel great after a cycle of not being very consistent. I really enjoyed the relaxing vibe in the gym this morning and just kinda got in the zone with Peter. We didn’t over-think things and I didn’t obsess about my warmups, I just went with it. I belted up for all of my work sets and felt good. They all felt surprisingly easy until the last attempt when I just got too low and couldn’t get out of the hole. Had no time for the accessory work, so I’ll do something later tonight.
