Kung Fu class

After normal warm up routine, went into some hand/forearm training because the guys were complaining that Monday’s workout wrecked their legs. So we started with 5 min tiger claw grabbing sandbag in horse stance, then went onto a tag team drill:

  • Partner A completes 10 full lengths of the wrist roller, WHILE
  • Partner B sits in horse stance and performs tiger claw squeezes

Switch once partner A is finished. Repeat 2x, followed by about 8 min three star block. This swelled up the forearms nicely.

Next we worked on water fist technique by doing it together as a group, breaking down the movement, applying it with a partner, and finally unleashing it on the pads. Good work all around and everyone seemed to respond well.

After class I worked more on the new snake section from Ng Ying Kuen and tried to get more comfortable with my left side. It’s coming along.
