Day 2, StrongLifts 5x5 Beginner Strength Training Program
Here we go:
- Squat
- 5 x 5 x 160lb
- Press
- 5 x 5 x 95lb
- Deadlift
- 1 x 5 x 225lb
- Weighted Pullups
- 3 x 5 x 65lb
Lifted barefoot again, still feeling solid with my form. I included some warmup sets for each exercise and I’m still trying to figure out the ideal rest time between sets. The weights still feel easy so I moved pretty quickly (about 90 sec rest), but once the weights starting getting tough the rest will probably have to increase a bit. The pullups were harder than I anticipated, which makes me think that I’ll probably stall on the pullups first. Finished with my 23 burpees for the day and then practiced some snatch drills. In and out of the gym in 45 mins.
