Day 1, Texas Method Intermediate Strength Program
Volume day today:
- Squat
- 5 x 5 x 250lb
- Push Press
- 6 x 3 x 135lb
- Power Clean
- 6 x 3 x 135lb
- Weighted Pullups
- 3 x 5 x 75lb
- Weighted Dips
- 3 x 5 x 75lb
Started my intermediate strength training program today. I originally read about this in Practical Programming for Strength Training, but it’s also covered on Stronglifts.com as an idea for progression from their beginner’s program. The basic idea is to do a 3 day cycle where day 1 is high volume (high volume, high intensity), day 2 is recovery (low volume, low intensity), and day 3 is intensity (low volume, high intensity). Everything felt great today. Total gym time: 45 mins.
Weighed in at 186lb today.
