It was a crisp, clear 28 degrees this evening so I jogged over to Washington Park for some below-freezing sprints:

Got out for my first workout since becoming a dad! Went to Washington Park between feedings and diaper changes for a quickie:

In order to get my workouts in over the next few month, they’re going to have to be brief, intense, and close to home (Washington Park or the basement).
I meant to go push some weight today, but I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment. Headed over to Washington Park instead and designed a workout around running around the perimeter of the park:

After getting stuck at work all night, I headed out to the turf field behind the Old Stone House for a quick workout. Set this up like the Jailhouse 10, but I sprinted the width of the turf field (about 50m) between sets:

No gymboss, so this was untimed. Finished with 100 pushups (10 x 10). The good news is my wrist felt fine.

This is a gasser. Did this on the turf field at Washington Park. No timer today, so I just went as fast as my little legs could carry me. The bear crawls and crab walks are really awful.
I noticed a crossbar on the fence around Washington Park that was perfect for pullups, so I cooked up this little circuit to get my rage out:

Total time: unknown. My gymboss went on the fritz and I didn’t have anyything handy to reset it. I’m estimating the sprint across the turf at Washington Park to be ~50m, which is the closest estimate I can get based on Google Maps. The HSPUs slowed me down and the ROM was questionable on all of them. The fence around the park isn’t ideal for these.
Trapped inside due to the weather, so I headed downstairs to the sweaty little basement.

Total time: 7:45. I was short on time and I seem to have lost my gymboss in Hawaii, so I gave this one another crack. My double unders felt better than last time, but the pushups were awful. Sets of 10 and 5 after the second set, just like last time.

I finished 16 full rounds…I think (I’m a terrible counter). The v-ups were the toughest part here - felt really good on the pushups and the sprints.
Did this at the track at McCarren Park because I was encouraged by the talk of this being the warmest day of the year. The original plan was to do the Interval Challenge, but that Top Chef high-rise blocked out the sun on half of the track and it was still covered with snow, so 400m sprints were right out. Oh, and it was still cold as fuck.
