Ordered the famous steak plato from Oaxaca on seamless FROM the gym and picked it up on the way home. A new Sunday tradition?

Pleased as punch to find a good chinese delivery option in DUMBO and place my first seamless order. Too many larabars, but I had the hunger today.

Paleo challenge day 55

  • Breakfast: eggs, sausage, avocado
  • Lunch: borcht, mixed nuts
  • Dinner: steak taco salad, pork taco (no tortilla), macadamia nuts, dark chocolate

Borcht is really good stuff. I highly recommend it (Zach). The steak salad from Oaxaca (really a platter, but I had them add more lettuce and hold the rice and beans) is a revelation. An amazing amount of awesome grub for pretty cheap.

Paleo challenge day 54

  • Snack: larabar, clementine
  • Lunch: pulled pork tacos (no tortillas), cabbage, and stuff
  • Dinner: salad with grilled chicken, bacon
  • Snack: apple w/almond butter

Ate out twice today, both times rather successfully, though it rankles me when restaurants refuse to give a little lettuce in exchange for tortillas. I’m not asking for a huge bowl of salad, just something to make me feel like I’m not spooning heaps of meat into my face (even though I am).

  • Dinner: turkey burger, guac, kale, red cabbage, blueberries

Feh. So bored with logging everything I eat, but I’m still feeling good. Probably eating too many nuts and too much fruit though.

Today was sort of a blur, I think I had some sort of a stomach bug and had no real appetite. Felt really weak and tired all day. Tried to snack a few times to keep my energy up to no avail:

  • Lunch: thai beef salad, larabar
  • Snack: larabar, cashews
  • Dinner: turkey burger, avocado, brussels sprouts, apple w/almond butter

Eating paleo sorta feels like autopilot now. I don’t really find it restrictive or have to work too hard to find good stuff to eat. Still, I’m looking forward to then end of the challenge just so my eating habits don’t have to be the topic of conversation every time I eat with someone else.

  • Breakfast: eggs, turkey
  • Second Breakfast: eggs, asparagus, avocado
  • Snack: larabar, mixed nuts
  • Lunch: pulled pork, cabbage salad, avocado
  • Dinner: rotisserie chicken, avocado, curry chicken, cashews, pear

Today shall henceforth be known as the day I ate avocados with every meal. Well, every meal except first breakfast, but we all know second breakfast trumps first breakfast.

  • Breakfast: eggs, turkey, salsa
  • Snack: larabar, mixed nuts
  • Lunch: chicken, avocado, a whole bunch of vegetables
  • Dinner: leftover pot roast, leftover beef and broccoli, chicken and string beans, macadamia nuts

I’m stupid and didn’t have my huge jug of BCAAs at home so I ate a breakfast after my morning workout. I should have the bulk of my powder at home and a little bit in the office for the 10am dose. Stupid.
